Covid - 19 Guidance Documentation
COVID-19 Update - 16 April 2021
Following the announcement from the First Minister, the Scottish Government and Scottish Golf have confirmed that (as has been the case throughout the pandemic) golf is a sport that can be played outdoors with physical distancing and increased safety measures in place. This continues to be recognised and from Friday 16 April 2021:-
• Golf courses can remain open for play. Play can take place in 4-balls with no restrictions on the number of households for golfers who live in Scotland
• All Tee times MUIST be booked in advance - no turn up and play
• Golfers should stay close to home, travel only for essential purposes (exercise is included in this) and in line with the new legislation
Please follow these guidelines so that we can continue to play golf responsibly in these difficult times.
Police are continuing to make checks and visit Clubs to ensure that everyone is following the rules.
Keep Safe
Following the First Minister’s update (21 December 2020), Scottish Golf would like to confirm that on-course golf activities can continue under current Phase 3 - Tier 3 and Tier 4 Guidance, with up to four players from four different households allowed to participate together. Travel for exercise/sport is allowed within Perth & Kinross and up to 5 miles into another local authority for sport.
