Canter, Bell Trophy and Gents' Open...

Congratulations to Ross MacDonald for being the first, and currently only player, to have surpassed the 100 points mark with 110. If there was a prize for Player of the Month, he would have my vote.

Steve Park moves up to 2nd with 86 points and no doubt would join Ross shortly over the 100 point threshold.

Brian Whyte and Steve Gilroy enter the top 6 for the first time with 56 and 54 points respectively, whilst Martin Foster bolts up the leaderboard to 52 points, leaving one time "top of the shop" leader, Anderw Boler to drop back to 50 points.

Those languishing just below the top 6 can all make an impact over the coming weeks, Ron Burnett (48), Graham Hutchison Jnr (48), with 40 other players having some points.

A Cracking win for the Bell Trophy team of Peter Russell, Derek Walker, George Brown, David Morris and Alex Young, beating Kenmore GC 4-1 at home. I will spare the blushes of the team member who missed the whitewash result.

The next round is to be played at Culcrieff GC and those that have been considered for the team have been emailed. Next round has to be played by the 19th June.

Tomorrow (Saturday 28th) is the premier event of the season, our Gents' Open. The draw is looking good with one or two spaces left. First prize of £80 is available to the winner, with an additional prize of nearest the hole in two strokes at the 13th! Good luck to all those that have entered.

The Club Championship is fast approaching and now is the time to make sure you are about to reach your peak!!

The course is looking good, let's hope this weather keeps up!
