With only a couple of rounds left to go the "title race" is hotting up. 10 players had their handicaps slashed this week. Obviously the wet conditions were favoring somehow!
There was a change at the top of Section one as Peter Russell with his superb scratch 63/ Nett 57, snatched top spot from Ron Lambie in the Eclectic. It is the tinest of margins having a better inward half.
In Section 2, Willie Young has extended his lead by three for a nett51. Wattie Barbour, who sat at the top for most of the season, appears to be slipping. with Jim Townsley and Bill Hynd slowly catching up. Is there enough time?!
In Section 3, David Bell and Jack Baillie are tied on 57, with David a full three shots better on his inward half. Can Jack get that one more Eccie to seal the deal?
Top 6 scards still to be updated, Peter gets the better scratch prize, with Colin Stewart, Jim Stewart and that "auld boy" Gordon Smith sneaking into to get some change for his efforts.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
