Winter League Wk7 - Balmy Conditions
What a week it has been! The temperature has risen, and the Winter League is hotting up!.
This was one of those mixture weekends, where players could elect to use the normal greens OR the temporary winter greens. Regardless of which greens, eccies were still found.
Colin Nisbet had a nice scratch 71 to take the money. He jointly shared top spot for h/c prize with Donald Cockbill on 59, but Donald's superior inward half took the top money.
Tam Stewart had a solo nett 61 to take 2nd H/c, with a three way tie for 3rd spot. Donald MacDonald, Doug Ogilvie and Jim Townsley all had 63's, but Donald took the last of the money, with a better inward 6 over Doug.
The temperature is looking fine for the next week, so bring on the lucky visitors who can play the normal greens for £10!!
Next Sunday (18th) will be the last Winter League game for the season, so the club are looking at having Turkey on the menu. If there is sufficient interest, and at the time of writing, it is looking good, Chef Steve will be providing Turkey lunches throughout the day.
Keep watching for further details!
