Winter League Wk9

It's a New Year and time to off-load the cobwebs and back to business!

Week 9 still saw some "eccies" coming, and as the weather proved kind, all three handicap prizes were in the 50's with one skirting with a sub 50 round.

Ron Lambie continues to rake in the cash with another Scratch 65, but safe enough to protect his handicap!

Alan Low, however, had the biggest single reduction with his nett 50!!, This must come as a shock to Sam Woodside who would have thought his Nett 57 would have cashed in. Even Ron Burnett's Nett 59 on a normal day would have been a sure bet.

In the Eclectic there were still some "movers and shakers"!

Ron Lambie (55) is 3 shots clear of Peter Russell and Doug Ogilvie (58), with David Crowder having a lean patch back on 63.

In Group 2, long time leader Wattie Barbour(55) picked up another "eccie" to stay ahead of Willie Young (57), with Jum Townsley (59) the only other sub 60 score.

In Group 3 we are still waiting for our sub-60 round, with some room for improvement yet, Tam Lindsay (62) tops the group, with John Baillie (64), and David Bell (65), all being hunted down with 4 players on 67.

With the weather holding, there is potentially 9/ 10 rounds to go, so we are at the half way stage and plenty time to detox and get some winter exercise!!
