Soggy Sunday League Wk12

We've had it all this week, and at the time of writing the course is closed due to the snow!

Wk12 saw the number of eccies reducing, although they are still having an effect on the all round standings. The 6 Best Scores for each category are now also being published on the notice board.

Some new names on the winner sheet this week, with Willie Young picking up the Scratch prize. The Match Secretary ran up an 8 at the "easy" third, as he fired two balls deep into the banking at the back of the 2nd Green, and so his chance of glory disappeared, again!. Anyone interested, he later retrieved the ball 5 inches down!!

Jim Stewart topped the H/c prize and for once, there were no sub Nett 50's, obviously the handicap slashing has had an effect.

Ron Lambie tops the Eclectic standings with 54, with only 3 4's marring his card.

Wattie Barbour clings on to his lead in Section 2, also with a 54, but his early good rounds are being eroded away, with Willie Young (55), and Jim Townsley (56), snapping at his heals.

In the 18+ section, Tam Lindsay and David Bell are sharing top spot with a 60, with David Bell having the better inward half. Jim Samson(61, and Alan Low (62), will be hoping the run in is kind for them.

The top 6 cards faeture all of the above, but the leads are not so slender. Currently Alan Low in Section 3 (365) is the contender for the overall prize at the moment.

Let's hope for some drier weather in the final few weeks of the Winter League.
